For Business
A genuinely different way to bring people together.
A different kind of team experience
Novice to Nightclub offers businesses a genuinely different way to bring people together.
DJing is immediate, creative and collaborative. It gives employees the chance to learn a completely new skill, step outside their usual roles and connect with colleagues in a relaxed, high-energy environment. No musical experience is required: the programme is designed for complete beginners.
For People Leaders, HR, and Culture teams, the appeal goes beyond simple entertainment. A well-designed DJ experience can encourage confidence, communication, creativity, shared achievement and stronger relationships across teams. It can also create the kind of memorable employee experience that gets talked about outside work.
Programmes can range from a short introductory workshop, to a series of sessions culminating in a live performance at a London nightclub or company event.
The format is flexible, but the principle is simple: take people who have never DJed before and give them the skills and confidence to perform.
What We Offer
-
For companies looking for an alternative to traditional team-building activities, a standalone DJ workshop offers an accessible introduction to mixing and performance.
Sessions can be designed for different group sizes and budgets, from compact two-hour experiences to longer half-day or full-day programmes. Participants learn the fundamentals of DJing, including cueing, beatmatching, phrasing, EQ and mixing, before putting those skills into practice.
The experience begins on an equal footing: seniority and job title quickly become irrelevant as the whole group is learning something new together.
Workshops can be delivered as part of wellbeing programmes, away days, team development events, graduate programmes, or employee engagement initiatives.
All equipment can be provided, making it straightforward to run the session in an office, event space or external venue.
-
For organisations wanting something that delivers greater employee experience, Novice to Nightclub can run as a short programme over multiple sessions.
Employees begin as complete beginners and gradually develop the skills required to perform with confidence. Alongside the technical side of DJing, participants learn how to listen closely, make decisions under pressure, support one another and contribute to a shared performance.
This format develops a growth mindset and encourages continual learning through anticipation, progression and a genuine sense of achievement.
The programme can culminate in an internal showcase, a company celebration, a client entertainment event, or a wider staff celebration. Employees can perform individually, in pairs or as part of a carefully structured back-to-back set.
For leaders looking to create stronger connections across departments, the programme can also be designed to bring together colleagues who might rarely work with one another.
-
The full Novice to Nightclub experience takes the idea one step further.
Imagine ten employees beginning with no DJ experience and, after weekly sessions, performing at your company’s Christmas party in a London nightclub.
Participants receive practical DJ tuition, build their own sections of a set and rehearse together before taking over the decks at a live event. The final performance can become part of a Christmas party, ERG gathering, summer celebration, company anniversary, leadership event, or major staff gathering.
It creates both a development experience and an event in its own right, with colleagues not just attending the party, but providing the entertainment too.
For organisations looking for something distinctive, social and memorable, Novice to Nightclub can turn an ordinary corporate event into a shared story.
-
Businesses can also use Novice to Nightclub to support music education beyond their own organisation.
A company can sponsor a DJ programme for pupils at a local state school, helping young people access high-quality contemporary music-making that might otherwise sit beyond the school’s budget.
Programmes can range from a one-day introduction to a longer course culminating in a live showcase. Where appropriate, the partnership can also include employee involvement, with staff attending the final event, supporting the programme or even learning to DJ themselves alongside the wider project.
This creates an opportunity for businesses to combine employee engagement with meaningful local impact. Companies can support a programme with a visible, creative outcome and a clear story to share internally, and externally.
For organisations with community, educational, digital inclusion, or social impact priorities, it offers a distinctive way to invest in young people while supporting access to music and creativity.
Big Ideas,
Real Impact.
"It was an incredible opportunity for the children and experiences they would never normally have access to. It has done wonders for their confidence as well as all the other skills which come from learning music."
— Sarah Pieniek-Jones, Head Teacher at Falconbrook
We've built a DJing outreach programme bringing structured musical opportunities to inner London schools facing high deprivation. In the last year, we've worked with 3 primary cohorts, delivering weekly sessions, and a secondary school for a workshop day, all delivered on professional DJ equipment and culminating in a live performance that builds pupils' confidence, aspiration and sense of self.
Sponsor something within your community that young people want to engage with, and enjoy.
